Trump White House Deputy Chief of Staff for policy and Homeland Security Stephen Miller wins Freak of the Week because his creepy fingerprints are all over the most shocking recent activities of the Trump administration.

Miller was one of the architects of the family separations and caged kids at the border in Trump 1 that shocked Americans. Now he is empowered again to help erase Spanish speaking migrants from the streets and fields of America without due process.

He clearly takes smirking delight in the choreographed spectacle of extrajudicial deportations of men never accused of crimes to a notorious prison in El Salvador. Miller seems to have been born immune to the suffering of the less fortunate – or the less “American.” His own family, descendants of Jewish immigrants who fled European persecution and arrived here not speaking English, have disowned him. If he hadn’t crossed paths with Trump, Miller would probably be just a corporate law firm drone whose colleagues thought of him as the office crank and avoided him.

His combination of lifelong nativism, powerful position in an authoritarian regime, and his uncanny ability to intuit Trump’s worst urges and facilitate them into cruel policy makes him perhaps the FREAKIEST and most malignant member of the second administration’s chamber of horrors…

A techno-fascist AI robot factory could not have created a more perfect spokeswoman for a regime that spews alternate facts and performs reality show government while stripping Americans of their safety net, cratering America’s relations with allies, and offshoring “undesirables” – activity with ominous similarities to Nazi Germany’s outsourced camps.

Our Freak of the Week is among the most dangerous and damaging of Trump's cabinet appointees. A vaccine denier, a wellness-woo-spewing conspiracy theorist, a former heroin addict who has said the drug helped him get better grades and anti-science to the core, he is the unlikeliest and most unfit director of the Health and Human Services Administration in modern history.

He has already turned out the lights on potential medical research into things like pancreatic cancer research and pandemic preparedness and is overseeing the "what me worry" federal response to the worst measles outbreak on American soil in decades. As bird flu burns through domesticated animals and menaces humanity, he's fired the veterinarians who were studying.

Donald Trump could be our Freak of Any Week, but this time, he wins because he went on another taxpayer-funded Palm Beach weekend while his administration takes an ax to Social Security, “cost-cutting” on the backs of the 73 million disabled and elderly Americans who depend on the monthly checks – funds they put into the system when they worked – for food and shelter.

Trump has spent eight of the ten weekends since his inauguration flying to Mar a Lago and his golf course. Meanwhile, his DOGE is attacking Social Security, sacking thousands of low-paid workers who keep the system working. Eight weekend round trips from DC to Palm Beach likely cost Americans more than 112 MILLION DOLLARS already.
