A better review than appeared in the Times, for certain, which read more as promotion, (which makes sense since it was a cover story for the Times magazine, haven't yet seen a formal "review" there) & I have to say I agree with you about the unease provoked in what you describe as her "post-woke" art which also surprised me since Simon first made a name for herself with that exhibition of wrongly accused prisoners. But I've seen other write-ups seemingly Come Away with quite opposite views than yours , applauding her for a perspective on essentially the blender that has been made of our recent history. & Despite my affection & enthusiasm for the Guggenheim as an institution (having spent too-numerous times going up & down that spiral ramp across literal decades) I don't know that I want to make the requisite contribution to see this work in person.
