Hello! We’re marking the two year anniversary of the American Freakshow with our FIRST Substack Live video event. At 11 a.m. East Coast time, I’ll be talking to British investigative journalist Gareth Gore author of Opus: The Cult of Dark Money, Human Trafficking and Rightwing Conspiracy Inside the Catholic Church.
Gareth spent six years traveling the globe, researching the history and evolution of the secretive hard right Catholic sect that has long aimed to gain influence in secular power centers around the world. Gore wrote about how the sect’s priests took aim at DC a few decades ago, with great success. The trad Cath Supreme Court capture under Trump was not the end. With the death of Pope Francis, this regressive claque and its American allies like super-lobbyist Leonard Leo are gearing up for a battle.
