Correction: Nick Quested's film "64 Days" is not available. I just tried to buy it, and the webste says that "that title does not exist." A rather chilling coda to a chilling event.

January 6th ‘21 was a day of violence, a display of inflamed hate and fear. Today, Kamala Harris had to certify the election as US President of a man who hates America — adhering to the process and principles of “the peaceful transfer of power.”

We are inexorably moving toward The Event Horizon of January 20th. Honestly, I feel despair that our country will ever recover from the hatred and violence that was completely unleashed on January 6, 2021.

But here’s the truth: Our country and our democratic way of life will only triumph if we never forget the trauma.

And so, we must continue…

Suozzi is a “useful idiot” - the kind of Democrat the N.Y. Times loves to feature. (Paul Krugman seems liberated since leaving the paper.)

It’s hard to see things that are not there, but I can’t recall any Republican getting space in the media calling for Republicans to work with Democrats for the good of the country.
