When I went to Paris at age 19, in 1984, a woman I’d met at college set me up to meet a woman she knew in Paris who she thought could help “introduce me to the city”. I met the woman. She caressed my hair and told me looked like a model. We chatted a bit about the cultural things I’d been doing, and she took me to an empty restaurant where, shortly after we sat down, two men, foreigners- probably North African, maybe Turkish (I was very unworldly coming from a small town in Washington) arrived and sat down next to me and one next to her, staring across the table at me. She acted like it was normal. We had started out with tea and then wine. I felt horribly uncomfortable, paralyzed with fear and anxiety and couldn’t fathom what was happening. To be polite I had a couple sips, but immediately started to feel drowsy and strange and I knew I was being drugged. I began to have a panic attack as this older man started to try to grope me. I was essentially trapped. I pushed him away as he grabbed at me, then forced a smile and said I had to go to the bathroom, and pushed past the man, walking towards the bathroom then turned foot and bolted for the door, which was locked from the inside with a deadbolt but I managed to get out. I had a small purse I’d grabbed, but I left my coat behind. This situation that I found myself in was completely unexpected and I had no preparation for how to handle it. I staggered out, and ran as fast as I could, dashing down alleyways to get away, terrified, my heart pounding and absolutely fearful I was being followed. The way this “friend” of my acquaintance watched my every move and calculated this situation absolutely blew my mind. I’d been seriously sexually harassed on the trip, as I was traveling by myself for months, but this was a set up, an ambush- pre-planned by this woman. They had attempted to drug me but I figured it out soon enough to stop drinking, and to escape. I’ll never forget the stare of the woman’s eyes that took me there, looking at me like prey. The gluttonous and disgusting cretinous behavior of the men, who’d pawed at me like dogs, followed me like a pile of slime. Over the last decade I have followed Trump and Epstein. I became interested in Trump when I read American Psycho, Brett Easton Ellis’s book which I believe depicts Epstein as Patrick Bateman, who adulates and emulates Donald Trump (who is mentioned more than 40 times in the book). With the “fashion model” agency creeps working the entire world, I cannot imagine how many young women and girls have been entrapped in similar ways. The horror.
