Thanks so much for this article. I am shocked to learn that Opus Dei is behind the Federalist Society and now a controlling influence on the court. Progressives and some Democrats have obliquely discussed Nixon's "Southern Strategy" for decades. I don't know of any discussion of an Opus Dei rather then Pentecostal leadership taking over the court with an intention to legislate from the bench. We have had to grow accustom to using the term Fascist referring to US leadership. Opus Dei is far worse. The scenario is not anti-union industrialists targeting immigrants as scapegoats. It is Supreme Court justices believing God is guiding their choices about life and death.

Thank you again. I look forward to more of your writing and will share with my Unitarian religious community.

I know someone whose daughter and son-in-law joined Opus Dei. Wasn't pretty. Thanks for reporting on this and bringing Gore’s book to my attention. I look forward to reading it.

Wow - so interesting to see the list of players in this cult...a who's who of MAGA, basically. Chilling, but not a surprise for this woman who was around at the beginning of the "women's movement" and felt the resentment. It hasn't gone away, but we are not going back!

Fascinating read Nina, I found Zero Invisability an excellent read, as the Greg Olear review of it! I’ve been curious about Roberts Opus Dei roots, Leo , and Federalist members like Thomas and Alito, for a few years since reading much of Greg and others work on the subject. This is the most detailed information I’ve ever read about these vapid wastrels, thanks for sharing!!

I want to clarify your point. Are you saying Greg is the most detailed or that Nina's short piece here is original and the most detailed. .... I am furious that I did not know this until reading Nina's article yesterday.

Nina’s post here is one of the most informative I’ve ever read! I’d imagine you’d have found her appearances on the 5-8 as interesting as I have Neil.

I read Gareth Gore's book and was frankly shocked by the extent to which they had infiltrated Washington, D.C. Their misogyny is blatant--Escriva was allegedly repulsed by human sexuality and put the women's entrance into his headquarters next to the garbage--that says a lot. Opus' disgusting human trafficking of young women from South America, stealing all their wages and essentially making slaves of them was also shocking and, if I'm not mistaken, Pope Francis put an end to their headquarters in South America. These young women were only allowed to contact their families once a year! I also just saw Cillian Murphy's latest film on the Magdalen Houses which amazingly only went out of existence in 1998! The cruelty of the Church towards women and even minorities is extremely repulsive (and I was raised a Catholic).
