Thanks for sharing that. Needs to be widely circulated as people like stefanik call these fascists “hostages”

You speak for many. What is particularly galling is the fear factor amongst those who could have closed him down. Romney has verified that many Senators would have voted to impeach but feared harm to themselves or their families.

(To think McConnell could have killed that baby in the cradle, but didn't, is disgusting.) Judges, as well, have demonstrated fear. No judge yet has had the guts or integrity to put him in jail -- for even 24 hours -- for violating gag orders. I marvel, and not with admiration, that one crooked, criminal, and warped personality could have brought this country low.

There’s an old saying, “If a person has integrity, nothing else matters. If a person doesn’t have integrity, nothing else matters.” There’s virtually no one in the Republican Party aside from Liz Cheney (whom I disagree with about 99% on policy issues) and Adam Kinzinger who have demonstrated that they have integrity. Moscow Mitch is a traitor to the country, period. As if he doesn’t have enough money to live comfortably? What, exactly, is he after? Boggles the mind.

When do we give up? Never! Keep it up.

I guess when they reach some level of ill-gotten gains they just stop thinking like the rest of us about what's enough? Baffling.

What is Mitch after? Power, honey. Power. And that is well known. Maybe it has to do with his unfortunate looks, or maybe Lord Acton had it right. At some point the blame has to fall on a gullible, uneducated electorate. I like your spirit, and I’m betting you’re appreciably younger than I, because mine is dimmed.

Very concerned about the coming year. Keep telling the truth, Nina.

Anyone wondering what Mitch is getting out of this forgets a key few lines John Huston has in Chinatown. As for the odious clown-Caesar...we should understand him as the kind of danger equivalent to having a black mamba loose in the house.

But we should remember for now that ye are many, they are few. The illustration you used, of that sad, poorly built gibbet one of his flying monkeys slapped together, says it all. You couldn’t hang a piñata on that thing. They’re desperate, they’re wily, but they are stupid. And they are incompetent.

I don't think you can write off the MAGA movement as simply "stupid" and "incompetent".

There are different subsets of Trump followers; the evangelicals and anti-abortionists, the gun-toting macho-men, the white nationalists who fee threatened by "others" (ie, non-white-nationalists) who are "vermin" and "poisoning the blood"; and then there are the stupid ones. I think it's a mistake to generalize about Trump's followers; they're a mixed bag.

My own personal quest is to understand their motivations: how and why millions of Americans have fallen under the Trump Trance? And how do we break the spell?
